Pam has been in the Retail, Footwear, Apparel (RFA) industry her entire life. Having followed in her father’s footsteps, she’s second generation to the field. She began working in RFA while still in high school, where she worked for a Kellwood subdivision to oversee sending out tech packs and dups to factories for costing and commercialization activities when this was done manually, even pre-excel! There was, however, a new CAD technology for pattern making and grading. This is where Pam’s love for technology in RFA was born.
The first half of Pam’s career was rooted in technical design, pattern making, grading and marker making. She became an expert in her craft during a 15-year tenure at Patagonia sharpening her skills on a very diverse and complex product line. In addition to managing Patagonia’s CAD systems, she was also on the team that lead the FlexPLM rollout in the early 2000’s. It was this project that drove Pam’s passion for process and technology alignment and swayed her career toward implementing tools to enhance the product creation and go to market process.
Through the following years, Pam led various technology initiatives at places such as Coldwater Creek and Deckers Brands (UGG, Teva, Hoka One One). As PTC embarked on the FlexPLM UX redesign, they asked Pam to spearhead the effort. Pam worked with some of the largest and most well-known brands in the world conducting hundreds of end user interviews and surveys to make sure the new FlexPLM UX kept the end users’ needs at the center. Pam also partnered heavily with the PTC/USER Retail TC to ensure that all of PTC’s retail customers had the opportunity to be involved. Pam’s focus on the PTC end user has resulted in a new experience that people are very excited about.
Currently, Pam is the Head of Pre-production Technology at Ralph Lauren. Her team owns technology solutions for all tools in the product creation and commercialization process, including FlexPLM. She is ecstatic to have the opportunity to upgrade Ralph Lauren to the new UX that she helped to create; not many people have that kind of opportunity! She is also honored and excited to be invited to serve on the BOD for PTC/USER. Pam is looking forward to sharing Retail TC lessons learned with other product segments as well as igniting some FUN!

During this presentation. Sigmetrix will demonstrate how the newest version of GD&T Advisor in Creo 8.0 (and also 7.0.4.0) is now able to be used on assemblies – one of the most requested features by Creo users since its introduction. The discussion will highlight the differences in the feedback provided by the tool when working in parts vs. assemblies as well as provide guidance on the types of assembly definitions suited for it’s use. The session will also include a brief example of some of the other enhancements in the new release that Creo users have requested.

PTC's research team is conducting interviews to gather insights and feedback on a new solution that enables companies to remotely monitor the health and status of assets (equipment, machines, systems, etc.). By providing users with a view into real-time asset data, our solution enables companies to increase equipment and machine uptime by reducing time to repair and minimizing incoming service requests.
PTC is looking to interview research participants who:
- Manage assets (add/create assets, modify their properties, etc.)
- Determine user and customer visibility of assets
- Monitor status and health or assets
- Coordinate servicing of assets
The 60-minute research session is conducted remotely via an MS Teams or Zoom meeting. Research studies will be conducted between Sept. 22 – 30, 2021.
Participants who complete the session will receive a $100.00 e-gift card for their time.
